Overview
The Brainboxes SW-505 gives five Ethernet ports in a 23 mm wide DIN rail housing. It is unmanaged, so there is nothing to configure: plug in the cables and power. Power comes from either of two redundant inputs, each accepting an unregulated 5 to 30 V DC supply with reverse polarity protection, so it runs from a 12 V or 24 V control cabinet supply. All ports auto sense speed and cable crossover, and are isolated to 1500 V. The case is non conducting polyamide and the operating range is -40 to +80 °C. The power terminal block is removable and numbered.
