From the manufacturer's datasheet for DDC4020e.
The DDC4020e is a base station in the DDC4000e family for mounting on a DIN rail in the cabinet. It has no built-in inputs or outputs: all I/O comes from bus modules on its two CAN buses, which can each be set as a cabinet bus or a fieldbus. It is specified for four air handling systems or eight heating circuits, with a plain-text, object-based configuration and a web server for operation from a browser. The datasheet allows up to 8 FBM or FBU fieldbus modules plus 8 RBW room units, or up to 4 cabinet bus modules (SBM, BMA or BMD). Communication is native BACnet (BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP over RS485, up to 32 devices), with two Ethernet ports acting as a switch, a USB port for updates and backup, and RS232 ports for a modem. A remote TPC070 touch panel can be added for a local display. It has the same loop count as the touchscreen DDC4002e, without the built-in display and I/O. Power is 24 V AC or DC, or 12 V DC, and an internal mini UPS protects data on a mains failure.
