Overview
The DDC520 is the compact controller for the System 4000 range and covers the smaller-plant role of the DDC420. It suits smaller plant such as school and kindergarten heating, service connection stations and room automation. On board it has six binary inputs, eight points that switch between binary input and output, eight universal points and three analog outputs that can also run as PWM, 25 physical points in all. I/O modules extend it to 58 physical points: BMD1204, BMD1200, BMD0004, BMA0804, BMA0004, BMA0600, BMAU24, BMDU32 and BMD0401-PO, plus the FBU410, FBM018 and FBM024 and RBW room units. It speaks native BACnet (B-BC profile) as server and client, supports BACnet/SC with certificates, and carries 50 communicative data points over BACnet MS/TP. Operation is by an HTML5 interface over HTTPS with certificate management. The DDC SmartAccess phone app sets up a Wi-Fi link by NFC and can write basic network and BACnet settings with the controller unpowered. Up to four trend curves can be shown and 100,000 trend values stored.
