Overview

The NOVOS 5 is an active room sensor in a flush-mounting enclosure. Depending on the version it measures temperature, relative humidity, CO2 and mixed gas (VOC), and it can calculate absolute humidity, enthalpy and dew point from the humidity reading. It suits schools, offices, hotels and cinemas. The LCD has an RGB backlight that changes colour as readings cross configurable threshold values, so it also works as an air quality traffic light. Display settings and other parameters are set with the Thermokon NOVOSapp or uConfig. All values are read over RS485 Modbus RTU. The mixed gas sensor responds to volatile organic compounds such as body odour, tobacco smoke and gases given off by furniture, carpets and paint. There is one input for a floating contact. The base part can be mounted and wired separately from the front.
