From the manufacturer's datasheet for RDF-IR active.
The RDF-IR is a ceiling-mounted sensor that measures surface temperature in offices and other rooms by infrared. It averages the temperature over a circular detection area, with an optical aperture of 80 degrees, so it reads radiant surfaces and not just air. The V version has one infrared sensor and the Dual VV version has two. On the Dual, the mean, minimum or maximum of both can be output as well as each reading, set with the Thermokon USEapp. Outputs are 0 to 10 V, 0 to 5 V or 4 to 20 mA, with floating contacts. The infrared sensors connect by RJ45 patch lead to the USE-M housing. The 1.5 m leads are fitted on the versions listed.
