Overview
RGD40 is a two-way control valve with a spheroidal cast iron body, DIN PN25 flanges and stainless steel seat, cone and spindle. It regulates liquids and steam in heating, district heating and process pipework, and is sold as a valve body for fitting an actuator from the Kieback&Peter MD or MF series. The plug has an equal percentage characteristic and the seat meets leakage class VI to EN 1349. The stem seal is a maintenance-free PTFE chevron pack. Water is rated to 120 °C at 25 bar, and hot water or steam to 200 °C at 20 bar. It is driven by an MD100-RE or MF100-SR series actuator (MF100-SR gives spring-return closing on power loss). The valve is Kieback&Peter's RGD15..40 range.
