Overview
The SAB+ wireless radiator valve actuator redefines room temperature control by using thermal energy harvesting, eliminating the need for batteries or wired power. Designed for EnOcean-based building automation systems, it communicates bidirectionally via the 868 MHz frequency and can be configured through Thermokon’s airConfig software. Featuring an integrated temperature sensor, the actuator regulates valve position based on setpoints while offering frost protection and emergency self-regulation in case of communication loss. A safe position function ensures the valve defaults to a secure state if energy harvesting is insufficient. Compact, quiet (<35 dB), and maintenance-free, the SAB+ is ideal for sustainable smart buildings.
Mounts on standard M30 × 1.5 radiator valve threads (adapters available). Communication cycle default: 10 minutes, adjustable via airConfig. Safety features include position referencing after every 30 movements and frost protection at 8 °C. Accessories: EnOcean USB stick for airConfig/airScan setup (item no. 566704). Cannot be charged via power banks—only USB power supplies are supported.
