Overview
The TFR monitors the air temperature downstream of heat exchangers in ventilation and air conditioning systems. It has a small switching difference and good repeatability. Reset is automatic, or manual on the type with the -R suffix. When it trips the changeover contact can stop the fan, close the outside air dampers, open the heating valve fully or start the pump. The threshold is set by a rotary knob from -10 to +15 °C, with a default of +5 °C. The capillary comes in four lengths, and the sensing part is about 600 mm of it.
