Thermal contact fluid is supplied in a syringe for use when fitting temperature sensors. It fills the gap between the sensor and the surface or immersion pocket so that the sensor follows the true temperature more closely. Some Thermokon sensors, such as the WK02+ condensation sensor, ship with a 1 ml syringe in the box.
